Tom is the author of Research and Information Services: An Integrated Approach for Business (2007), Data and Text Mining: A Business Applications Approach (2005, Prentice Hall), coauthor of Marketing Research and Information Systems (2003), and co-editor of Qualitative Research Online (2004).

Dana H. James is a freelance writer and editor. A 1994 graduate of the Medill School of Journalism at Northwestern University, Dana held staff writer and editorial positions with numerous publications in the Chicago area, including Inside Sports Magazine, Windy City Sports Magazine, Online Access Magazine, and The New Physician Magazine. Between 1999 and 2004, Dana worked first as a staff writer and then as contributing editor for Marketing News, a publication of the American Marketing Association. In 2002, Dana won a silver award for Best Feature Writing and a bronze award for Best Case Study from the American Society of Business Press Editors.
